WILLMAR -- Helen Margaret Thompson Lee, 87, of Willmar, died Saturday at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
The service will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Bethel Lutheran Church in Willmar. Burial will be in Cloverleaf Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and one hour prior to the service at the church.
She was born on June 19, 1919, on the family farm east of Willmar to Andrew and Ellen (Wilson) Larson. She attended Golden Rod School and then worked as domestic help on a neighboring farm.

On Aug. 17, 1940, she married Alvin L. Thompson. Alvin died in 1975. On July 15, 1977, she married Donald Lee. They were crowned Senior King and Queen of Willmar Fests in 1994. Donald died Sept. 22, 2000.
She worked for many years at Habicht's Department Stores. She was a seamstress and directed the senior citizens choir. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, where she made baptismal quilts and was a member of the WELCA Honor Roll.
She is survived by her daughters: Marguerite (and Rollie) Swenson of Willmar; Mavis (and Curtis) Tjon of Fargo, N.D.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and step-sons: Robert (and Marie) Lee of North Platte, Neb. and Michael Lee of DeGraff.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
