MONTEVIDEO -- Helen Ruby Christopherson, 90, of Montevideo died Thursday at Chippewa County-Montevideo Hospital.
The service will be at 11 a.m. today at Bergen Lutheran Church, Stony Run Township. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements are with Lynner Funeral Home, Clarkfield.
She was born May 17, 1916, in Camp Release Township, Lac qui Parle County, to George and Mathilda (Axnes) Jorgenson. She graduated from Montevideo High School in 1934. She worked at the ASC office in Morris.

She married Hiram Christopherson on June 4, 1939. They lived in Mound until 1941 and then farmed near Clarkfield until retirement. She had been a resident of Luther Haven Home in Montevideo for several years.
She is survived by two sons: Bruce (and Helen) Christopherson of Clarkfield, Richard (and Donna) Christopherson of Clarkfield; one daughter: Barbara (and David) Kleven of Wayzata; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Lorraine Marienau of Montevideo and Delores Christenson of Menominee, Wis.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2003 and several siblings.
