DETROIT LAKES – The Minnesota Department of Transportation has temporarily closed Highway 119 in Appleton due to a crash involving a train and vehicle, the department announced in a news release just before 7 p.m. Traffic is being detoured to city roads.
The road is expected to be closed for approximately 2 to 4 hours, as the railroad inspects the track and moves the train.
No other information was immediately available.
