ROSCOE -- Hildegard C. Niewind, 84, of Roscoe died Tuesday at her home.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Roscoe. Burial will be at St. Agnes Parish Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, with St. Agnes Christian Mothers Prayer at 5 p.m. and parish prayers at 8 p.m., at the Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home in Paynesville and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
She was born Oct. 19, 1923, in Richmond to Joseph and Catherine (Mandernach) Middendorf. She grew up in the Richmond area.
She married Florenz Niewind on June 30, 1947, in Roscoe. They farmed on the family farm near Roscoe until retirement in 1987.

She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and Christian Mothers.
She is survived by her children: Sharon (and Richard) Bengtson of Paynesville, Art (and Elaine) Niewind of Paynesville and Janice (and Michael) Rothstein of Cold Spring; 12 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; siblings: Magdalen Mehr of Sauk Rapids, Ben Middendorf of St. Cloud and Ray Middendorf of St. Cloud.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1993, an infant grandson, five brothers and two sisters.
