MONTEVIDEO -- Holly Elizabeth Pederson, 101, of Montevideo died Monday at Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Salem Lutheran Church in Montevideo. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.
She was born Jan. 5, 1906, in Hamlin Township, Lac qui Parle County, to Henry and Emma (Jeppe) Knorr. She graduated from Madison High School in 1924.

She married Peder Pederson on Sept. 7, 1932, in Hamlin Township. They lived in Montevideo. She worked as a hairstylist and seamstress. She also worked at the front desk of the Hunt Hotel, and as a seamstress at Ekberg's and The Hutch. Peder died in 1963. She lived at Brookside Manor and then moved to Luther Haven Nursing Home in 1998.
She was a member of the Rebecca Lodge, the blood bank, and altar guild at Salem Lutheran Church, was active on the addition committee, and knitted over 50 lap robes for the senior center.
She is survived by her son: Carroll (and Jennifer) Pederson of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter: Frances Pederson; five brothers and two sisters.
