Homer S. Vesta

MONTEVIDEO -- Homer Sherwood Vesta, 86, of Montevideo died Thursday at the Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel in Montevideo. Burial will be in Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Sunday.

He was born May 27, 1922, in DeKalb, Ill., to Louie and Clara (Lukken) Vesta. They moved to the Boyd area when he was about 1 year old. He graduated in 1940 from Boyd High School and attended the Minnesota School of Business. He returned to farm in the Boyd area.
He married Doris Westgaard on Dec. 1, 1946, in Dawson. He farmed until his retirement. They moved into Montevideo in 1990.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Boyd and had served as a town board member in Ten Mile Lake Township.
He is survived by his wife; and by cousins and other relatives.
