WILLMAR -- Rice Memorial Hospital's board of directors is expected to make a decision today on using a search firm to help find a new chief executive for the city-owned hospital.
Lorry Massa, chief executive at the hospital since the beginning of 1994, is leaving in September to become executive director of the Minnesota Hospital Association.
The hospital board meets at 5 p.m. today in the board room, in the lower level of the hospital.
The board's human resources committee has recommended hiring a consultant to help with the search process for Massa's replacement.
The process likely will start with sending out requests for proposals and selecting a firm, a decision that will be made in September.
