House 17A candidates invited to Benson forum Oct. 16

BENSON - A candidate forum for the Minnesota House District 17A race is scheduled for 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, at the Law Enforcement Center in Benson.

Incumbent Tim Miller, R-Prinsburg, and challenger Lyle Koenen, D-Clara City, have been invited to take part.

The forum will be moderated by Reed Anfinson, publisher of the Swift County Monitor-News/Grant County Herald, and Sara Lundquist, morning show host and program director for 93.5 KSCR.

The Coalition of Greater Minnesota Cities is hosting the forum and it will cover issues relevant to the upcoming election in District 17A, which includes all of Swift and Chippewa counties and most of Renville County as well as a small portion of Kandiyohi County.

Shelby Lindrud is a reporter with the West Central Tribune of Willmar. Her focus areas are arts and entertainment, agriculture, features writing and the Kandiyohi County Board.
