MADISON -- Ida Louise Steinke, 97, of Madison died Friday at the Madison Lutheran Home.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. today, ,at St. John's Lutheran Church of Madison. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Arrangements are by the Zahrbock Funeral Home in Madison.
She was born Aug. 9, 1910, in Appleton to Henry and Clara (Mumme) Koosmann. She attended parochial school through eighth grade.

She married Gerhard Steinke on April 17, 1933, in Shible. They farmed in the Boyd area. In 1941, they moved to the Madison area, where they farmed. In 1959, they moved to Lake Lillian, where they also farmed. In 1974, they retired in Redwood Falls. Then in 1996, she became a resident of Hilltop Apartments in Madison. She moved to MLH Apartments in April 2003.
She was a member of The Hilltop Tuesday Bible Study group.
She is survived by three daughters: Elaine and (Aaron) Reese of Granite Falls, Norma (Eugene) Laechelt of Madison, Dorthea (Bill) Gallahan of Corona, Calif.; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a grandson, a great-granddaughter, three sisters and one brother.
