WILLMAR -- Two people were injured Wednesday morning in a three-vehicle accident at the intersection of U.S. Highway 12 and 28th Street Southwest.
Victoria Tagtow, 47, of Atwater was in her 1996 Chrysler LHS stopped on Highway 12 facing west when she was rear-ended by a 1998 Pontiac Grand Am driven by Blaine Serbus, 21, of Franklin, according to Willmar Police Sgt. Rick Kleinschmidt.
Tagtow's vehicle slid into the eastbound traffic lane and was struck by a 2001 Dodge Stratus driven by Linda Weets, 56, of Kerkhoven, Kleinschmidt said.
The incident happened just after 8 a.m.
Tagtow and Weets were taken to Rice Memorial Hospital where they were treated and released. All three vehicles were extensively damaged, Kleinschmidt said.

The Willmar Police Department was assisted by the Willmar Ambulance Department, Willmar Rescue Squad and the Willmar Fire Department.
