Jon Hovde, a Vietnam veteran and motivational speaker, addresses an audience of some 300 military veterans Thursday during the Kandiyohi County veterans benefit workshop at the Holiday Inn and Conference Center in Willmar. Hovde is the author of "Left For Dead," a memoir that recounts his recovery from injuries suffered when an armored personnel carrier he was driving hit an antitank mine during the Vietnam War.
