WILLMAR -- An investigation into the work-related death last month of a Rice Memorial Hospital employee is nearing completion, hospital officials said Thursday.
Lorry Massa, chief executive, said the findings will likely be released some time next week.
Sue Leukam, 51, of Belgrade died Nov. 26, three days after sustaining severe injuries in an accident with an automatic filing system. She was an employee in the hospital's medical records department.
A meeting was held Friday afternoon with her family to talk to them about the fatal accident, provide information and answer questions, Massa said.
Hospital officials said they would not publicly discuss details of the accident until they had met with Leukam's family and until the investigation is complete.

The accident has been under investigation by the Minnesota Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
Willmar Police also have been conducting a parallel investigation.
Massa said officials have a good idea of what happened but are still piecing together the information to determine how Leukam was killed.
Her funeral was Dec. 1 in Belgrade. Survivors include her husband, Don, and two children.
