WILLMAR -- Ione McLane, 79, of Lakeville, formerly of Willmar, died Monday while receiving hospice care for cancer.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Community of Christ in Apple Valley. Burial will be at Fort Snelling Cemetery.
Arrangements are with Henry W. Anderson Mortuary in Apple Valley.
She was born Aug. 4, 1927, in Benson to Roy and Eva (Huntley) Wells. She attended country grade school near Lake Emily and graduated from high school in Hancock.

She married Larry McLane on May 4, 1947, in Morris. She worked for several businesses in Morris. They moved to Minneapolis in 1955. She worked as a bookkeeper for advertising agencies and was the office manager at Conroy Bros. Construction Company for many years and then retired in 1988. They lived in Willmar for the past three years and moved to Lakeville last month.
She is survived by her husband; and one sister: Bonnie Lou (and Don) Andrusick of Farmington.
She was preceded in death by her son: Roger in 1996.
