APPLETON -- Irene Adella Thein, 88, of Appleton died Saturday at the Appleton Hospital.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Clara Catholic Church in Clara City. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with Zniewski Funeral Home, Vaala Chapel of Appleton. Memorials are preferred to V.F.W. Post 4955 or the Appleton Fire Department.
She was born Sept. 5, 1917, in Highmore, S.D., to Forest and Mary (Berry) Burnham. She grew up in South Dakota and attended school through the 12th grade. She graduated from Huron College.

She married Leonard Thein on May 6, 1946. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her son: Kevin Thein of Lakeville; son-in-law: Paul Mann of Lakeville; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and siblings: Bob Burnham of Highmore, S.D., Kenneth (and Connie) Burnham of Salina, Kan., Dale Burnham of Wanatah, Ind., Dean Burnham of Parker, Ariz., and Beatrice Hirsch of Granite Falls.
She was preceded in death by her husband; son: Alan Thein, daughter: Sharon Mann; three sisters and three brothers.
