LITCHFIELD -- Jack Ondracek, 79, of Litchfield, formerly of Darwin, died Aug. 26 at the Meeker County Memorial Hospital in Litchfield.
The service was Tuesday at the Dobratz-Hantge Chapel in Hutchinson. Burial was in the Bohemian National Cemetery in Rich Valley Township of McLeod County. Arrangements are with the Hantge Chapel in Darwin.
He was born May 26, 1928, in Ashland, Wis., to Joe and Elizabeth (McGraw) Ondracek. He moved with his parents in 1929 to a farm off Highway 7 near Silver Lake. He received his education in Hutchinson Township, McLeod County, after he attended Komensky School District 11. He lived on the family farm in Hutchinson Township. He moved to Babbitt and then to Darwin. He married Dorothy Olson on Aug. 17, 1991, in Dassel. Dorothy died in 1999. He owned Rawhide, a fur buying business. On July 24,he moved to Cedar Crest Estate Assisted Living in Cosmos.
He is survived by his brother: Donald Ondracek of Watkinsville, Ga., and sister: Betty Heuer of Watertown, Wis.
