PENNOCK -- Jack Roy Norman, 73, of Pennock, formerly of Minneapolis, died Aug. 7 in Spokane, Wash.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at East Norway Lake Lutheran Church in rural New London. Burial was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
He was born Aug. 2, 1933, in Minneapolis to Josephine and Roy Norman. He grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from Roosevelt Senior High School in 1952. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1953, served for four years and was stationed in the United States, Korea, and Greenland. He attended Augsburg College for two years and then the School of Associated Arts for three years.
He married Jane Huseby on Sept. 3, 1966, near Sunburg. He worked as an artist in many different areas, including layout, design and illustration. He worked for several different firms and had his own business. They moved to rural Pennock two years ago.

He won several awards in juried art shows and had many one-man shows.
He is survived by his wife; sons: York of Janesville, Wis., Bret of Minneapolis; and one sister: Janet (and Don) Thurnblom.
