FULLERTON, Calif. -- James Owen Weflen, 56, of Fullerton, Calif., died Sept. 26 at the University of California Irvine Hospital in Fullerton.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clara City. Private burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was born Aug. 17, 1950, to Merle and Jacquelyn (Barnett) Weflen. He graduated from Clara City High School in 1968 and attended college at the University of Minnesota in Morris from 1969 to 1973.

He married Catherine Owens on Aug. 30, 1969. They moved to Anaheim, Calif. He worked for The Earl's plumbing for a number of years and then as a regional manager for the Copper Development Association for 10 years.
He is survived by his wife; his parents of Spicer; brothers: Richard (and Pat) of Greenville, Miss., Dean (and Sharon) of Hudsonville, Mich., Charles of Spicer; sisters: Carol (and Terry) Schaefer of Paynesville and Margie Riley of Willmar.
