REDWOOD FALLS -- Janet Ann McWilliams, 82, of Redwood Falls died Friday at St. Therese Nursing Home in New Hope.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Redwood Falls. Burial will be at at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Nelson-Martin Funeral Service in Redwood Falls, with a prayer service at 5:30 p.m., and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Memorials are preferred to the Redwood Area Hospital.
She was born Sept. 27, 1924, in Henderson to Mark and Mabel (Stahly) Dempsey. She graduated from Henderson High School in 1942 and received a bachelor's degree in nursing from St. Catherine's College in St. Paul.

She married George McWilliams on Feb. 19, 1949, in Henderson. They moved to Redwood Falls. She worked part time at the Redwood Area Hospital for many years. She spent much of her free time at their home on Green Lake.
She was a member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church.
She is survived by her children: Colleen (and Terry) McWilliams Wier of Plymouth, Terry (and Pam) McWilliams of Tucson, Ariz.; four grandchildren; and three brothers: John (and Marion) Dempsey of Scottsdale, Ariz., Terry (and Janet) Dempsey of New Ulm, and Jerry Dempsey of Red Wing.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one granddaughter; and one sister.
