WILLMAR -- Janice Carol Geer, 70, of rural Brooten, died Saturday at the Belgrade Nursing Home.

The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Willmar Assembly of God. Burial will be at Burbank Cemetery, rural New London.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and one hour before the service Wednesday at the church.

She was born Feb. 15, 1938, in Lucan to Leonard and Frieda (Siedschlag). In 1945, the family moved to New London where she graduated from New London High School in 1956. She continued her education at Lutheran Bible Institute. She was an Herbal Life distributor for a number of years.

She married George Geer on Aug. 15, 1958, at Spicer. They lived in the Spicer area from 1958 until 1961 when they moved to their current home in rural Brooten.

She served as treasurer for Norway Lake Township from 1998 to 2002. She was a member of a home extension group and served as pianist at Koronis Manor in Paynesville from 1980 to 1990. She was a member of Crystal Hill Assembly of God from 1960 to 1993 when she became a member of Willmar Assembly of God. She served as a Sunday School teacher, Vacation Bible School helper, former Sunday School superintendent and was a children's ministry helper.

She is survived by her husband; children: Rosalie (and Eric) Tormos of Elk River, Kathleen (and Mark) Geselle of Glenwood, Thomas Geer of Spicer, and Gary (and Melissa) Geer of Brooten; 13 grandchildren; and one sister: Julie (and Ranleigh) Anderson of Willmar.
