In only their second season under Willmar native Bonnie Henrickson, University of Kansas women's basketball is off to its best start since the 1991-92 season, when the Jayhawks started 10-0. Kansas beat Florida International 73-65 Sunday in Lawrence to extend its streak to 8-0, including a 90-87 win in two overtimes over Wisconsin Dec. 10.
The former Virginia Tech coach was hired by the Big 12 school in 2004 to turn around a program that had four straight losing seasons.
