GLENWOOD -- Jeanette M. McGarvey, 95, of Glenwood, died Friday at the Glenwood Village Care Center.
A private family service will be at a later date. Arrangements are with Hoplin Funeral Home in Glenwood.
She was born Jan. 12, 1910, in Lake City to Howard and Sarah (Seeley) Eastman. She grew up in Lake City. She graduated from the School of Nursing at the Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago in 1933.
She married John McGarvey. He died in 1959. She worked as a private and public duty nurse. She moved to Glenwood in 2000.

She is survived by five nieces: Jeanne (and Richard) Sherwood of Edmonds, Wash., Maylin (and Robert) Aske of Athens, Ga., Sharon (and Kenton) Miller of Tulsa, Okla., Mary (and Daniel) New of Alexandria, Joe (and Timothy) TerMeer of Kamuela, Hawaii, and Judy Eastman of Minnetonka.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters and one brother.
