BECHYN -- Jerome Thomas Kodet, 84, of Bechyn died Thursday at Sunwood Good Samaritan Care Center in Redwood Falls from complications of Parkinson's disease.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bechyn. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, with a prayer service at 3 p.m., at Dirks-Blem Funeral Home in Olivia and for one hour prior to the service Monday at the church. Memorials are preferred to the preservation of St. Mary's in Bechyn.
He was born Dec. 29, 1923, near Bechyn to W.C. and Josephine (Zetah) Kodet. He grew up on the family farm near Bechyn.

He married Clare T. Neville on Sept. 16, 1947, in Olivia. They lived on his family farm near Bechyn, where he farmed. In May 2007, he moved to Sunwood Good Samaritan Home.
He was a pitcher for the Bechyn team in the 1940s and '50s.
He is survived by his wife; six children: Linda Ahrens of Redwood Falls, Monica Morrissey of Grand Forks, N.D., Jeff (and Gwen) Kodet of Morton, Tim (and Barb) Kodet of Rochester, Colleen Mahoney of Fairmont, and Tom Kodet of Worthington; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son-in-law: Bill Morrissey, and by a grandson.
