ROSELAND -- Johanna Nellie Dykema, 101, of Roseland died Sunday at Bethesda Heritage Center Nursing Home in Willmar.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Roseland Reformed Church in Roseland. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Tri-County Funeral Home in Prinsburg and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
She was born Sept. 10, 1905, on the family farm in Roseland to Fobbe and Blazina (Poortvliet) Hoekstra. She grew up in Roseland and attended rural schools.

She married Simon Dykema on Aug. 22, 1930, in Roseland. They lived and farmed near Raymond and then moved to Roseland in 1964. She worked at Montgomery Ward in Willmar. She later cared for her husband while he suffered with Alzheimer's Disease. He died in 1985. She moved to Prairie Park Place in Clara City in 2003 and to Bethesda Heritage Center in July.
She was a member of Roseland Reformed Church and taught Sunday school for several years.
She is survived by her children: Charlotte (and Jim) Eddy of Fargo, N.D., Calvin (and Carol) Dykema of Raymond, Donald (and Donna) Dykema of Overland Park, Kan., Mavis (and Dennis) Goeman of Raymond; 15 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Hilda Van Der Bill of Willmar and Mary Lamb of Mankato.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one great-grandson; four brothers and four sisters.
