BROOTEN -- John Charles "Jack" Peters, 73, of Brooten died Wednesday.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Belgrade. Burial will be at St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery in Padua.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with the Harvey Anderson Johnson Funeral Home in Belgrade.

He was born Nov. 27, 1932, in Lake Henry Township to John and Ann Marie (Schmit) Peters. He grew up in Grove Lake where he attended country grade school in District 1 and Morris Ag School, graduating in 1951. He attended Alexandria Vo-Tech for two years, studying to be a mechanic. He farmed the family farm until the early 1980s when it was sold. He worked as a mechanic at the Brooten Elevator until he retired in 2001.
He was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Belgrade and was a founding member of the Knights of Columbus in Belgrade.
He is survived by two brothers: Bill (and Doris) Peters of Blaine, Ron (and Rose) Peters of Columbia Heights; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
