RENVILLE -- John Edward Stomberg, 85, of Renville died Monday at the RenVilla Nursing Home.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church north of Renville. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the Dirks-Blem Funeral Home in Renville and will continue for one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.
He was born May 30, 1922, in Chippewa County to William and Anna (Dikken) Stomberg. He attended District 131 country school.

He married Florence Fleuter on March 3, 1964, in Raymond. He farmed and also did custom corn shelling with his brothers for many years. They moved to town in 2005.
He was a member of Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, where he served as elder and trustee and also was the cemetery treasurer for many years.
He is survived by his wife; his daughters: Darlene (and John) Schrauth of Bloomington and Diane (and Larry) Walter of New London; three grandchildren; and his brother: Lester (and Audrey) Stomberg of Clara City.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
