APPLETON -- John Richard Allanson, 76, of Appleton died Monday at Methodist Hospital in Minneapolis.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Appleton.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the start of service Saturday at the church. Arrangements are with the Zniewski Funeral Home-Vaala Chapel in Appleton.
He was born Aug. 16, 1931, in Minneapolis to Frank and Agnes Margaret (Broderick) Allanson. He attended school in Minneapolis.

He worked for Ford Motor Company in the tractor and implement division in Bloomington for 30 years. He also owned Home Owners Tree Service in Minneapolis. He retired from Ford in 1993 and moved to rural Appleton.
He is survived by his daughters: Colleen Dahlin and Deb (and Paul) Franson; two grandchildren; and his sister: Donna McCue.
