GLENWOOD -- Jonathan (Jon) Lee Yarbrough, age 35, of Glenwood, died Thursday as the result of a motorcycle accident in Douglas County, near Alexandria.
The service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Glenwood United Parish.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood and also one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Knollwood Cemetery in Fergus Falls.
He was born June 18, 1973 in Norman, Okla. to Stephen and Carol (Andrews) Yarbrough. He lived with his parents near Norman until his father accepted a teaching position at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, S.D. For several years he lived with his grandparents near Council Hill, Okla. and later lived with foster parent, Richard Herrick, at Webster and Brookings, S.D. He graduated from Brookings High School in 1991 and then attended Moorhead State University in Moorhead, receiving a bachelor's degree in creative writing in 1996.
After graduation, Jon lived with his partner Cody Rogahn at their home along the Red River in Moorhead, where he worked at Radio Shack. They moved to Glenwood in 1999 and he obtained an Associate of Arts in computer technology degree and was in the process of completing his master's degree in information technology. He worked with Rambow, Inc. of New London and Teligence International of Alexandria. He also worked at the Minnewaska House, Lakeside Ballroom and Raaper's Bar & Grille in Alexandria. He was very active in the community and served as a board member at Glenwood United Parish and Minnesota Common Bonds and was a member of the Starbuck Friendly Garden Club.

He is survived by his partner: Cody Rogahn of Glenwood; father and stepmother: Stephen and Janis Yarbrough; siblings: David of Vermillion, S.D, and Regina of Los Angeles, Calif.; mother: Carol Yarbrough; grandparents: Bennett and Jane Andrews of Rock Spring, Ga. and Charlene Corvin of Wilburton, Okla.
