MONTEVIDEO -- Joyce Ardell Weis, 88, of Montevideo died Tuesday at Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo.
The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Salem Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Salem Lutheran Church.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.
She was born March 8, 1920, in Bemidji to Joseph and Anna (Nekander) Carlton. She graduated from high school in 1938 in St. Frances, Ontario. She later attended Minneapolis Business College.
She married Simon Weis in March 1946 in St. Paul. They moved to Montevideo in 1948 and she was a loan officer at Washington Federal Savings Bank until she retired in 1986. She lived at Copper Glen before moving to Luther Haven in June 2007.

She is survived by nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1987 and one sister.
