BENSON -- Judith Ann Giese, 65, of Benson died Wednesday at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Benson. Burial will be at the Benson City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the church and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Arrangements are with Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson.
She was born Aug. 4, 1940, in Ortonville to Oscar and Alma (Schultz) Angerhofer. She grew up in rural Big Stone City, S.D., and graduated from Big Stone City High School.

She married Harvey Giese on Sept. 27, 1959, in Milbank, S.D. They farmed in rural Danvers. She was a housewife and worked on the farm.
She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Benson and was involved in Ladies Guild and quilting. She was also a member of Thrivent Financial Services, and the American Diabetic Association. She volunteered for Prairie Five and helped organize the Christmas party for Golden Age.
She is survived by her children: Jerry (and Nancy) Giese of LeMars, Iowa, Elaine (and Terry) Deutchman of Windom, Richard (and Dana) Giese of Prior Lake, Sue (and fiancé Doug Sather) of Benson, Mark (and Mary) Giese of Sauk Rapids; seven grandchildren; and her siblings: Arlin Angerhofer and Carolyn Monson, both of Big Stone City, S.D.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1998; and an infant son: David Giese.
