GRANITE FALLS -- Judith Homme Bolduc, 94 of Granite Falls, formerly of rural Echo, died Friday at Granite Manor in Granite Falls.

The service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Rock Valle Lutheran Church in rural Echo. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with Sunset Funeral and Cremation Association of Echo.

She was born Nov. 30, 1912, in Sioux Agency Township to Knute and Jorgina (Kollin) Homme. She attended country school and later attended high school at the Lutheran Normal School in Madison. She attended Augsburg College in Minneapolis and then taught in Sacred Heart and Detroit Lakes High Schools. She attended the Journalism graduate program at Columbia University in New York. She wrote for various magazines and was co-author of a book, "Classics in the Kitchen." She returned to the Granite Falls are in 1998.

She is survived by her son: Tom (and Kay) of Los Angeles.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
