Juhnke has stayed too long

It was in June of 2008 that Al Juhnke would announce a re-election bid for a seventh term on the Minnesota House of Representatives. Seems to me he is making a career out of that office. He says we need strong, experienced voices at the Capitol.

I say experience should not be a factor for that office. What is needed is a person with a sound political agenda and with new ideas. I also think six or eight years should be long enough to have that privilege to serve as a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives.

Al Juhnke should read the historical background on term limits or rotation in office. In June of 1776, it was Thomas Jefferson who urged a limitation of tenure to prevent every danger, which might arise to American freedom by continuing too long in office.
