BROOTEN -- June C. Torkelson, 73, of Brooten died Tuesday at Lakeview Gardens Care Home in rural Kimball.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at United Presbyterian Church in Brooten. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Friday at the church. Arrangements are with Johnson Funeral Home in Belgrade.
She was born June 30, 1934, in rural Brooten, to Carl and Ruby (Oltuff) Hjelmeland.

She was married for several years starting in 1957. She continued to live in the Brooten area. In August 2006, she moved to Lakeview Gardens in rural Kimball.
She is survived by two children: Doris (and Jim) Fiecke of Cold Spring, and Michael Torkelson of Willmar; and two grandchildren; two siblings: Marlas (and Bruce) Nihart of Richfield and Tom (and Deb) Hjelmeland of Golden Valley.
She was preceded in death by two sisters.
