WILLMAR -- Bradley G. Junkermeier, attorney at law, of Willmar filed Thursday for the office of Kandiyohi County attorney. Incumbent County Attorney Boyd Beccue and Willmar lawyer Jennifer Fischer have also filed.
Junkermeier graduated from Willmar Community College in 1973 with an associate of arts degree and earned a bachelor of arts degree from St. Cloud State University in 1975. He received a juris doctor degree in June 1981 from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul and was a Law Review staff member in 1980-1981.
He has been a licensed attorney from 1981 to the present. He was admitted to practice in Minnesota in October 1981 and has been self-employed and has operated a law office in Willmar from September 1982 to the present, practicing in the areas of criminal law, divorce and family law, personal injury and civil litigation, and construction law.
He has been a Minnesota licensed building contractor from 1999 to the present. He was a part-time instructor at Willmar Community College and Vo-Tech from 1982 to 1988 and has taught courses in criminal law, business law, law and banking, introduction to philosophy and ethics, the legal environment of business, and logic and critical thinking at Ridgewater College from 1999 to 2010.
He is involved with Habitat for Humanity of West Central Minnesota, is a volunteer carpenter and a member of the site selection committee from 1999 to 2000.
