WILLMAR — The final answer on who won the election for the open seat on the Kandiyohi County Board of Commissioners in District 2 could be known by the end of the week.

As is allowed under state law, Ahmann has requested a recount. The recount will be paid by the county since the vote difference between the two candidates is less than one half of 1 percent of the vote total.
