- Jose Eugenio Reyna, 33, made his first court appearance at 11 p.m. Monday in front of Judge Michael J. Thompson facing a felony charge of fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance.
Reyna was arrested around 7:15 p.m. June 2 after picking up a package from the UPS terminal in Willmar containing nearly 11 pounds of marijuana.
UPS employees contacted the police department after they opened a package they believed contained marijuana. The package was delivered earlier in the day on June 2, but the homeowners said that the package was addressed to someone who didn't live there. UPS then retrieved the package and opened it after returning to the terminal.
According to the complaint, the addressee later called and made an appointment with UPS to pick up the package from the terminal. Around 7:15 p.m. Reyna came to the terminal and picked up the package. Reyna was stopped by police officers while still in possession of the package.
According to the complaint the package contained several bundles of marijuana, totaling 10.95 pounds.

- Marlon James Sands, 21, of Willmar, pleaded guilty to multiple charges Monday in front of Judge Michael J. Thompson.
Sands pleaded guilty to six charges from several different cases including the felony charge of offering a forged check. Sands was caught trying to cash the forged check at a bank.
Other charges include third-degree possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal damage to property. Sands was caught selling drugs by the CEE-VI Drug Task Force during an undercover operation.
As part of the plea agreement, Sands is also required to pay restitution for the property damage. Sands pleaded guilty to causing more than $600 damage to windows on a car.
Sands also pleaded guilty to two underage consumption charges and possession of a small amount of drugs. Sands' sentencing is scheduled for 3 p.m. July 10.
- Jeremiah Judson Malvin, 21, of Raymond, made his first appearance Friday on a felony charge of drug possession.
Malvin was charged with a felony charge of fifth-degree possession of drugs and another charge of possession of a small amount of drugs. Bail for Malvin was set at $3,000.
According to the complaint, officers searched Malvin after smelling burnt marijuana on Malvin. Malvin allegedly told police that the smell was from the alfalfa he worked around.

After searching Malvin, officers allegedly found a rolled marijuana joint, 3.4 grams of Methamphetamine and $1,740 cash in his wallet.
Malvin's next court appearance is scheduled for June 12.
