WILLMAR - A search is underway for a new Kandiyohi County Health and Human Services director to replace Ann Stehn, who is departing for another position.

Stehn's resignation was announced earlier this month. She has accepted an administrative position with Horizon Public Health, a public health agency serving Douglas, Grant, Pope, Stevens and Traverse counties.

Her last day with Kandiyohi County is Dec. 14.

"She's going to be greatly missed," said Larry Kleindl, Kandiyohi County administrator.

Stehn has been with Kandiyohi County for 22 years and has led the Health and Human Services department for the past six years.

The county plans to advertise through mid-October for her replacement and conduct initial interviews in late October, Kleindl said.

"Hopefully we can have an offer on or around Nov. 19," he said.
