WILLMAR -- The Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office is no longer seeking assistance from the public in locating the domestic abuse suspect who fled Friday from sheriff's deputies in the Hawick area, Corporal Jason Keith said Sunday night in a news release.
Law enforcement concluded after extensive searches in Kandiyohi County that the suspect, a man who goes by the names of Jose Caballero-Benitez and Omar Sanchez, is no longer in the area. Keith said the suspect's identity is being investigated and the criminal case is pending.
The suspect is hispanic, in his early 30s, has tattoos on his neck and is about 5 feet 9 inches tall and 150 pounds.
