SPICER – The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office is investigating allegations of a sexual assault Jan. 27 at a residential care home in Spicer.
The Sheriff’s Office reported Monday that it had received a report Jan. 27 of a disorderly male outside a residence along Lakeview Driver in the city of Spicer.
According to a news release from the Sheriff’s Office, deputies responding to the report were advised that a male was upset and reporting that a female acquaintance had been sexually assaulted earlier in the evening at that location by staff members of the residential care home that operates there, according to the news release.
The acquaintance was not a client living at the facility. A sexual assault investigation was started at that time.
Additional concerns of neglect toward a residential care home client are also being investigated jointly by the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota Department of Human Services.
