ST. JOSEPH, Miss. -- Kathleen Renae Fernelius, 55, of St. Joseph, Mo., died Wednesday at St. Joseph Hospital.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Rupp Funeral Home in St. Joseph, Mo.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer society for breast cancer research.
She was born in Willmar. She moved to St. Joseph in 1984. She worked at Interserve as a nutritional manager, and at Saxton Woods as an activities director.
She was a member of the Southside Business Woman's association and the Hyde Valley United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter: Allison (and Tony) Smothers of St. Joseph, Mo.; a son: Robert Fernelius of Butner, N.C.; two grandchildren; siblings: Randall (and Tammy) Kragenbring, Kendall (and Jenny) Kragenbring and Karole (and Denny) DeJong all of Minnesota.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; her parents: Raymond Kragenbring and Lorraine Clough; and a brother.
