BIRD ISLAND -- Kathryn Lea Bratsch, 105, of Bird Island died Wednesday at Golden Living Center in Olivia.
The service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Bird Island United Methodist Church. Burial will be at the Bird Island City Cemetery.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with Dirks-Blem Funeral Service of Bird Island.

She was born Oct. 23, 1901, in Clay City, Ill., to Henry and Zelma (Mosley) Bostwick.
She married Frank Bratsch in 1927. They farmed in the Bird Island area. She also worked as a cook at the Bird Island School and was a dispatcher at the Van Dyke Hotel in Bird Island.
She was a member of the Bird Island United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her children: Joyce, Lila, Lois, Donna, Bob, Dick and Ken; 20 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and one sister: Betty.
She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter: Stephanie; two sisters; and two brothers.
