WILLMAR -- Kenneth E. Danielson, 79, of Willmar, died Wednesday at his home following an extended illness.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First Covenant Church in Willmar. Burial will be in Cloverleaf Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post 167.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and for one hour prior to the service Monday at the church.

He was born June 2, 1929, in Willmar to William E. "Bill" and Anna (Olson) Danielson. He grew up in Willmar, graduating from Willmar High School.
He married JoAnn M. Swenson on Aug. 30, 1951, in Willmar. They moved to Fort Hood, Texas, and he continued his service in the U.S. Army until 1953. While Ken was stationed in Germany, JoAnn stayed in Willmar. They then lived in Willmar. He managed Standard Lumber Company in Willmar and Mankato. He went into business as a partner in Builder's Supply of Willmar in 1958. In 1976, he was elected Register of Deeds (County Recorder) in Kandiyohi County and was re-elected five times before retiring in 1990.
He volunteered for many organizations, serving as president of Kandiyohi County ARC, Minnesota County Recorder's Association, Minnesota Land Title Association and Willmar Noon Lions Club. He served on the boards of the Willmar Chamber of Commerce, University of Minnesota Lions Hearing Foundation and was a founding member of the Minnesota Retired County Recorder's Association. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1639, American Legion Post 167 and volunteered for Relay for Life. He was a lifetime member of First Covenant Church and had been a deacon, trustee and Sunday School superintendent.
He is survived by his wife; daughter: Lynette (and Doug) Stiegmann of Rancho Mirage, Calif.; sons: Paul (and Mary Jo) Danielson, Jeff (and Sue) Danielson and Scott Danielson (and Kristi Fischer), all of Willmar; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers: Donald (and Lorraine) Danielson of New London and Edmund (and Norma) Danielson of Golden Valley; and sister: Doris (and Ardell) Loven of Willmar.
He was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
