GRANITE FALLS -- Kenneth Enhard Smogard, 90, of Granite Falls died Wednesday at Granite Manor in Granite Falls.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Granite Falls Lutheran Church in Granite Falls.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to Granite Falls Hospice. Arrangements are with Sunset Funeral and Cremation Association of Echo and Wabasso.
He was born June 8, 1915, on a farm in Lac Qui Parle County to Edward and Clara (Winge) Smogard. He grew up in the Madison and Appleton areas and graduated from Appleton High School. He attended business college in Minneapolis and graduated with a degree in accounting.

He married Theresa Fautsch on March 12, 1949. They lived in Clarkfield and owned and operated Terry's Café. He also worked as an accountant for Minnesota Valley Construction. They moved to Granite Falls in 1958 and he worked as an accountant for Knutson Brothers Plumbing and Heating.
He was a member of Granite Falls Lutheran Church, taught Sunday school and served on the church council. He also served on the Granite Falls City Council and on the Utilities Commission of Granite Falls.
He is survived by his wife; children: Greg (and Laura) Smogard of Dallas, Texas, Cynthia (and Alan) Velde Hanley Falls; four grandchildren; and siblings: Phillip (and Phyllis) Smogard, Ellsworth (and Sylvia) Smogard, Edward Smogard, Delores Funk, June Carlson and Elvera (and Art) Romness.
He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
