LITCHFIELD -- Kenneth Lowell Anderson, 74, of Litchfield died Tuesday at his home after a year-long battle with cancer.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church in Litchfield. Burial will be at Lake Ripley Cemetery in Litchfield. Military honors will be provided by Nelsan-Horton American Legion Post 104.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.
He was born May 4, 1933, in Minneapolis to Herbert and Agda Anderson. He attended elementary school at District 24 and graduated in 1951 from Waconia High School. He worked in Minneapolis at West Kaiser Willy's Motors until 1953. He was drafted and served in the Army from 1953 to 1955 during the Korean War.

He married Beverly Jean Friedricks on Sept. 1, 1956, in Canby. They moved to Litchfield in 1956 where he and his father operated a cabinet shop called Anderson Woodcraft. For 12 years he built kitchen and bath cabinets. In 1968, they purchased and farmed on the family farm.
He served on the Cenex board for many years. He was also a member of the Masons and the Shriners.
He is survived by his wife; his daughters: Patricia (and Douglas) Birkeland of Maple Grove, Vicky (and John) Lysne of Owatonna, Janet (and Allan) Andreen of Litchfield, Sandra (and Warren) Hickman of Litchfield; his sister: Mary (and Kendall) Lawson of Woodinville, Wis.; 11 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
