KMS now 4-0 after 49-15 rout

MURDOCK -- Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg rolled to 36 first-half point and overloaded Parkers Prairie in a 49-15 non-conference football win Friday.

The Fighting Saints (4-0), ranked 10th in the last Class A poll, recovered a fumble, picked off a pass and forced two turnovers by downs in the first 24 minutes alone. KMS scored on all but one possession in the first half, and that was a Kevin Steinhaus interception in the second quarter, which led to a Panthers' touchdown.

Otherwise, the KMS defense allowed only 40 yards overall, 33 rushing and seven passing.

Joel Bauman led the Saints with 156 yards rushing on 11 carries and scored two touchdowns. Steinhaus completed 8-of-9 passes for 111 yards and three TDs.
