ROYALTON -- Mark Skoglund ran for 136 yards and a touchdowns and Joel Bauman had 112 yards rushing and a touchdown as Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg trimmed Royalton 19-6 in a Prairie South Conference football game Friday night.
Skoglund's one-yard run opened the scoring in the second quarter for the Fighting Saints (5-2, 5-2), who remained one game behind Browerville in the conference race.
KMS then took a 12-0 halftime lead after Sam Kavanagh caught a 15-yard touchdown pass from Kevin Steinhaus.
Royalton closed within 12-6 on a six-yard scoring pass from Shawn Lanners to Adam Snyder in the third quarter.
Bauman's one-yard run capped the scoring in the final quarter.

Steinhaus, the area passing leader, completed 5-of-6 passes for 72 yards and no interceptions.
Alex Baker led the KMS defense with 14 tackles.

Cass Kreitlow scored five straight times to open the game and rushed for 226 yards on only 18 carries to ignite the Minnewaska drubbing. The Lakers (3-3, 4-3) scored in every quarter, didn't record a punt, and scored the game's first 47 points.
Kreitlow scored on runs of 6, 2, 14, 31 and 58 yards en route to help the Lakers gain 448 yards on the ground on 44 rushes, an average of 10.2 yards-per-carry. Jeff Kocher scored twice and Jordan Hendricks threw a 37-yard scoring strike to Jon Hoffmann.
