MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- The Minnesota Twins will end a 46-year run with WCCO-AM next season when KSTP-AM begins broadcasting the team's games in the Twin Cities, the team announced Tuesday.
The agreement with St. Paul-based Hubbard Broadcasting runs through the 2010 season and calls for AM1500 to broadcast all regular and postseason games and at least two dozen spring training games.
The station will also carry other Twins-themed content, including shows with manager Ron Gardenhire and Terry Ryan, the team's general manager.
The team's contract with WCCO-AM 830 runs out at the end of the season. "The Twins and WCCO Radio have enjoyed a model partnership for four-plus decades," said Jim Pohlad, a Twins owner, in a news release.
Financial terms of the deal were not announced.
