WILLMAR - The Ridgewater Lady Warriors and Rochester Yellowjackets capped their season series splitting a doubleheader at the college field Saturday, Rochester winning the first game 5-4 and the Lady Warriors the second game by the same score.
For the series, the MCCC Southern Division rivals have each won two one-run games while both scored a total 17 runs. At Rochester April 14, Ridgewater won 4-3 and lost 5-4.
Ridgewater (12-2) has four division games left and the Yellowjackets (14-4) two.

Julie Vosejpka, who had singled and doubled already, led off the bottom of the seventh with a triple, but was stranded there by Rochester pitcher Sarah Mainz.

Ashley Spanier's bases-loaded, no-out single in the bottom of the seventh brought in Mallory Peterson, who had singled leading off, with the winning run. Angie Flaten went the distance for the win on a nine-hitter with no walks.
