LAKE LILLIAN — Duane Anderson of Lake Lillian has filed to run for the Kandiyohi County Board of Commissioners in District 5.
He will be running against longtime Commissioner Harlan Madsen, who last week announced his intent to run for re-election. Madsen was first elected in 1994.
District 5 is the most rural of the commissioner districts, extending across the southern half of the county and including the cities of Atwater, Blomkest, Kandiyohi, Lake Lillian, Prinsburg and Raymond.
