BIRD ISLAND, Minn. (AP) - The last of five former students was sentenced in the summer burglary of the BOLD school in Bird Island.

Officials say all five individuals pleaded guilty to gross misdemeanor theft charges. The sentences ranged from 19 days to 60 days in jail with fines of $282.

The sentences stem from a July 31 burglary at the school. Three former students entered through a door that was left unlocked on purpose. They stole numerous electronic items valued at almost$7,000.

The items were taken to a home. Two other former students then helped to move the items.

One of the items taken was an Internet router. Officials say that unbeknownst to the suspects, once hooked up to the Internet, the router broadcast a signal that allowed officers to pinpoint their location.
