Latino Affairs Council community forum is today

WILLMAR -- The Chicano Latino Affairs Council will hold a community forum on economic development and education from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the Oaks on Eagle Creek in Willmar.

WILLMAR -- The Chicano Latino Affairs Council will hold a community forum on economic development and education from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the Oaks on Eagle Creek in Willmar.

The forum is open to the public and will be conducted in both English and Spanish.

The council is an agency that advises state government on issues related to Latinos.

Organizers say one of the objectives of the forum is to learn about the ideas, projects and needs of the Latino community in Willmar and surrounding areas.

Presenters will be Hector Garcia, council executive director; and Astrid Ollerenshaw, council community relations manager.
